The Housing Campaign

Youth United for Community Action has been organizing with tenants and community members to preserve affordable housing in East Palo Alto since January 2008. Many tenants have expressed the importance of fighting for fair rent in East Palo Alto. We have been honored to stand side by side as they share their story and protest their illegal rent increase.

We will be pushing to educate tenants on the newly proposed Rent Stabilization Ordinance (RSO), organize with local organizations to empower tenants to exercise their rights through Individual Rent Petitions, recognize the local Tenants Association and move towards a strong and clear accountability system for our Rent Stabilization Board and City Council.

We also welcome all supports to come out each month to take action to ensure that our affordable housing is secured. Please check out our monthly calendar for upcoming events.
