MOVEMENT BUILDING
Since 1994 FIRE has placed over 170 young people of color in paid internships with
grassroots organizations working on social, environmental, and economic justice issues in California.

Fall 1998:
Los Angeles FIRE sponsor organizations such as Communities for a Better Environment, Community Coalition, and Strategic Actions for a Just Economy, come together to organize a youth-led organizing conference–Youth in Action.
